Ted Schuler Current Coach Basketball Return to Coaches HOME March 15, 2011
Coach Schuler was hired to replace Jeff Dishman who resigned at the end of 2007. Coach Schuler was an assistant to Coach Dishman for the last five years. He got his start as a basketball coach working with the Catholic grade schools for three years before moving on to Hayden. His initial year at Hayden has been quite impressive as the team has racked up the school's first Boys Centennial League championship since 1991. It is also the first 20 win season since that year.
Coach Schuler played basketball for Bob Chipman at Washburn University. He played in over 100 games during his four seasons there (1995-1998). He came to Washburn after graduation from Morris Community High School (IL) where he was an important part of the basketball team that finished 23-4 and won an Illinois regional in 1994. Coach Schuler is not on the teaching staff at Hayden. He serves as a Rule 10 coach for the school and is employed by Westar here in Topeka.
